Cookie Policy

A precise record of the technologies this website currently uses.

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on engic.ltd as configured on 23 September 2026. The public website does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural advertising pixels, or a third-party audience analytics service.

The site uses limited technologies needed for security, form protection, administration, and reliable operation. We will update this policy before introducing any optional analytics or marketing technology that changes this position.

This policy forms part of ENGIC's Privacy Policy and should be read together with the Terms of Use and Legal Notice.

01Current position

No advertising or audience-tracking cookies.

ENGIC does not currently place cookies for cross-site advertising, remarketing, social-media tracking, or third-party audience analytics on public visitors' devices.

Links to LinkedIn, Crunchbase, certification bodies, registries, and other external services do not load those services into ENGIC pages. If you follow an external link, that service may apply its own privacy and cookie terms after you leave engic.ltd.

02Strictly necessary technology

Security, administration, and form reliability.

  • →Cloudflare edge security, request routing, and server logs
  • →Cloudflare Turnstile bot and abuse checks on public forms
  • →A secure ENGIC administrator session cookie for authorised staff
  • →Server-side rate-limit records used to reduce automated abuse
  • →Short-lived server-side form recovery records for authorised administrators

These technologies are used only where necessary to operate, secure, or administer the service. They are not used to build advertising profiles.

03Administrator session

The engic_admin_session cookie.

Authorised administrators receive an engic_admin_session cookie after signing in. It keeps the administrator authenticated and is configured as HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure when served over HTTPS. The cookie value is a random token; the database stores only its cryptographic hash.

This cookie is not issued to ordinary public visitors and is not used for advertising or public-site analytics. It expires with the applicable administrator session and is cleared on sign-out.

04Turnstile

Bot protection for public forms.

Public forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. Turnstile processes technical signals such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, interaction signals, the page hostname, and a short-lived challenge token. Depending on Cloudflare's security assessment, Cloudflare may use a necessary security cookie.

ENGIC sends the challenge token, requesting IP address, and expected hostname to Cloudflare for verification. A form cannot be accepted when the production security check is unavailable or unsuccessful.

05Server-side records

Some technologies do not store a cookie on your device.

Cloudflare and ENGIC systems may create server logs and short-lived security records containing request time, IP address, user agent, route, security outcome, and rate-limit state. These records help deliver pages, prevent abuse, investigate faults, and protect the website.

Form content and uploaded files are governed by the Privacy Policy. ENGIC also records a small allow-listed set of first-party route interactions, such as opening a product, portal route, or RFQ. Those event rows contain the event name, site path, optional internal destination, and time; they contain no cookie identifier, IP address, user agent, or free text. These server-side records are not used for cross-site tracking.

06Managing cookies

Browser controls remain available.

You can inspect, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking a necessary security or administrator-session cookie may prevent a protected form or administrator function from working.

Because the public website currently uses no optional advertising or audience-analytics cookies, it does not present a preference banner for categories that are not in use.

07Changes

New technology requires a policy review.

ENGIC will review this policy before adding analytics, embedded media, advertising, personalisation, or other optional technologies that materially change the information processed or the choices available to visitors.

The effective and review dates shown on this page identify the version currently published.

08Contact
