# FSRU Alexandroupolis (ex-GasLog Chelsea)

> Floating Storage & Regasification Unit — LNG carrier conversion

Greece's first FSRU and a European Commission Project of Common Interest. The 2010-built LNG carrier GasLog Chelsea entered the Singapore yard in February 2023 for a ten-month regasification conversion, delivered November 2023 with 2.9 million manhours worked without a recordable injury. Moored via a 12-point spread system and connected to a 28km subsea and onshore pipeline, the 153,600 m³ terminal supplies gas to Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, North Macedonia, Serbia, Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary and Slovakia. Commercial operations began 1 October 2024 with capacity booked out to 2030 — a strategically significant asset for Southeast European energy security.
